Tamar, the smiling sphere
Highlights

Here, everyday life unravels and unexpected scenery emerges.
Before you step into this sphere, please pause for a moment and gently let go of concepts such as "normal," "familiar," and "complete."

The artworks in this space are not just for viewing. They encourage you to listen, feel and ask questions, and ask you to open your own senses.
Enjoy wandering without a clear destination.

Sometimes getting lost is what leads to the deepest realizations. Instead of searching for the answer, try to feel the moment when your perspective suddenly changes.

When the familiar transforms into the unknown, when playful landscapes gently shake up our thoughts, how will we re-perceive the world? Here, the boundary between you and the artwork will gradually become blurred.

In the resulting void, forgotten memories, dreams, or even subconscious questions may emerge. And in this ever-changing space between "illusion" and "truth," what new questions will you bring home? We hope that this time will be a place of new discovery for you.

Please enjoy.

What to see at Ashita Square

A relaxing space that will leave you away from the hustle and bustle of the Expo site and give you some time to relax and unwind.
The Ashita Square at Yoshimoto Waraii Myraii Hall offers an experience that will satisfy both the body and mind.
At Ashita Square, various experiential exhibits will be held based on the concept of "IKOI (rest)."

In the tatami space of the base exhibition "IKOI," people can take off their shoes, relax, and chat with each other.
By opening up the minimalist relaxation area to the open shared space, these small comforts interact with each other, enveloping the entire plaza in a sense of calm.
The many entertaining projects shared there will connect people all over the world with smiles.
While relaxing, you can experience the minimalist aesthetic of traditional Japan, such as the tatami mats, table setting, and seasonal flowers, and spend your time however you like.

In the square, we have prepared a wide variety of entertainment, including various comedy shows by comedians from Yoshimoto Kogyo, non-verbal performances that can be enjoyed even without speaking the same language, and "Bon Odori no Ashita," a traditional Japanese art form "Bon Odori" with karaoke and dance arrangements. In addition, we have prepared experiential content with the theme of "laughter and health."
We will collect smiles from all attendees and use a system to analyze participants' current emotions from their facial expressions to visualize the changes in emotions that occur when you laugh, allowing you to experience a chain of smiles and the impact of laughter.

Taking advantage of its free space, a variety of events will be held, including events where visitors can experience traditional Japanese festivals and games, and workshops where visitors can experience entertainment using the latest technology.
Please enjoy the special experience that can only be found here, which offers a variety of "Ashita."
